SonicMood creates a soothing background of melodic tones when you don't want the distraction of ordinary canned music, the ambient sounds being created while you listen! Each Mood is a blend of polyphonic stereo instrumentals with pleasing harmonies combined with sounds of nature. They have a relaxing effect, the gentle sounds lying just below your consciousness. SonicMood comes with 31 pre-configured "Moods" and an editor that lets you customize or invent new Moods.
The "iTunes-like" user interface makes using SonicMood a breeze! The lists of Moods are like iTune's song list, the Themes are similar to iTune's PlayLists. Save and load sets of Moods - keep a set of "happy" Moods and a set of "thoughtful" Moods, or use Themes to organize them (5 Themes are pre-defined to get you started). Resize SonicMood's window from small to large, or "Zoom" down to a very compact size.
SonicMood's built-in editor lets you select every element of a Mood, including instruments (128 to choose from including bells, crystals, kalimbas, glockenspiels, violins, many others), scale, octaves, timings, recorded nature sounds, and much more! There is a lot of power in SonicMood's creative repertoire. The combination of instrumental and nature sounds makes for "Ambient Music" at its best.
Each Mood can include up to 32 soundfiles, recorded nature sounds to compliment the instrumental sounds. Choose nature soundfiles (rain, thunder, crickets, river, etc.) from the many provided (21 included with the SonicMood download, more in .zip files on our Sharing page), or add your own recorded sounds. Any AIFF, MP3, MP4, etc. file can be played. The sounds can be made to move around in the soundfield, just like the musical instruments. Soothing sonic sounds with a sense of motion!
You can record Moods using SonicMood's built-in audio recorder. Record to either MIDI or a selection of "digital audio" file types. You can add the resulting file to iTunes, copy to your iPod, or even include with some of your own compositions.
SonicMood includes a Picture Window to display your favorite photos or other beautiful and relaxing images. Simply drag & drop your favorite picture files (jpg, bmp, gif, tiff, png, photoshop, or pict), folders full of photos, or drag a graphic off a web page, onto the window. Using the Picture Timer, you can run a slide show of selected images (put a check mark next to their names in the "Picture List") or all of them (in normal or random order) while listening. You can even display realistic-looking chimes which move and "Mood Colors" that light up when notes sound. Amazing sights to go with the amazing sounds!
